With 30,000 acres of park land and 1700+ individual parks, NYC’s parkland is nearly 14% of its landmass.  And the most magnificent of all public parks is Central Park, in Manhattan. Every year Central Park welcomes over 42 million visitors. NYC also happens to be home to a record number of artists! In 2015 NYC boasted 56,268 artists, a 17.4% increase over 2000.  So it should be no surprise that Central Park has been a source of inspiration for great paintings.

Creating art, nature and exploring the parks in NYC can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time.  Why not join us for a workshop that connects you with NYC parks, a blank canvas with quality materials, and other artists like you?  We curate your art experience in NYC, welcome you into our creative community, and help you create a fun and memorable painting to take home. 

Classic workshop prices vary depending on class, class size, materials, duration, and artist tutor. Contact us for course- specific pricing details to discuss a customized group workshop.  

Workshop lengths vary by tutor. Currently we offer: 

-  Day Workshop (Acrylic) – 3 hours

-  Day Workshop (Watercolor) – 2 hours 

-  Multi-day Workshop (Acrylic) – 2-5 days

What’s Included:

-  Tutor

-  Stretched canvas 

-  Easel, apron, paints, brushes, and other necessary materials

-  No set up or clean up required. We’ve got you covered.  Just show up, paint, and take home your painted canvas!

What’s Not Included:

-  Transportation to and from the workshop

-  Museum entry and tour rates (if applicable)

-  Food/Drinks

-  Accommodation

Additional Information:

Deposit:

-  A 10% non-refundable deposit is required to register and hold your seat.  Payment of the balance remaining should be made one month before the workshop.  

-  Participants must be in moderate-good physical health and fitness level. Bring a comfortable pair of shoes.

-  Workshops have a minimum and maximum headcount.  The workshop may be cancelled if the minimum headcount isn’t met.  In this case, you will be offered an alternative date, or a full refund.

-  Appropriate dress is required as participants will be on the go. You will almost certainly get paint on it!

-  This is a private art workshop activity.  Only participants in your group that are registered and have paid in full will be able to participate.

-  -Payment Options; we accept cash, wire transfer, Venmo and Zelle.  

Cancellation Policy:

-  If you cancel one month prior to the workshop start date, the deposit will be returned if we can find a replacement for your booking and your remaining balance will be refunded even if a replacement cannot be found. 

-  If you cancel for any reason after the one month cut off prior to workshop start date, half (50%) of the full payment will be returned as we will be unable to offer your place to another participant in time to join us by this date. This is because we purchase supplies, book venues and artist tutors in advance based on registered participants enrolled.

-  In the event of rain, the workshop will be moved to an indoor location nearby in NYC to paint.  In these cases we are unable to provide a refund.  We will find an appropriate alternative location with cover or indoors to continue the workshop.

-  NYC parks are subject to periodic closures without notice.  When this happens we will provide guests with an appropriate alternative location in another park in NYC.  In these cases we are unable to provide refunds.  We will provide the same level of services in an alternative park nearby.
